Back to school shopping........... eeek..... but we ordered the school supplies through school this year so that really cuts down on it. My daughter and her bff want us to go shopping with them (they are 10 and almost 10) and it gets to be expensive when we take them shopping.

Linwood & Margaret said...

I follower Green Fairy blog.

What I love most about back to school shopping is that it is DONE! My "child" is going to be 26 this month so those sprees of what would often turn out to be unused "necessities" are so over.
I follow your blog and have visited your friend's site. The fabric is gorgeous.

I've tried doing back to school shopping at the last minute (drop alot of $$$)
I've tried buying it throughout the summer (kept stressing over what I still needed to get)
.....and now I figure it will always be the bane of my life, well, at least for another 14 years.

School shopping. . . empty nest now, so YEA I'm SO glad that is over.
It always made me feel so very inadequate, because with six children we never had enough to go around.
I am getting to like fall again now that they are all on their own. I don't dread it like I used to. . .

I think back to school shopping is easier in the UK. At least with a school uniform the kids can't argue with the what they have to get. Other than the shoes. Yup, they can argue about shoes really well! And thanks for the reminder - must get them to try on all uniform and see what needs replacing.

I don't mind back to school shopping as I don't have any children!! However I will avoid all shoe shops at the end of August and I have vivid memories of going shopping for new school shoes and coming out wearing exactly the same pair I went in wearing but a size bigger - I had/have big feet and there was only ever one style that came in my size!! Thanks for the giveaway!

In theory, I love back to school shopping. In actuality, I learned the hard way, my daughter's first year of school, not to do any. Her birthday is the at the end of September and she got SO many clothes from grandparents that she had too many when added to the school clothes shopping we had done. Now I wait until after her b-day, then fill in any gaps.

cabesh said...

Of course I follow your blog.

My girls are big enough to want to do their own back to school shopping - and Im glad :o)

I usually go school shopping by myself. That way they (5 of them) don't know what the options are and they are thrilled with whatever I bring home.

Gorgeous fabrics! Haven't worked much with yellows.
