north meets south.

21 December 2010

to whom it concerns:
rachel can't come to her blog right now.

you see...her amazing husband is having her daddy flown up from georgia in 2 days!!!
that's right...2 days!!!

rachel hasn't seen her daddy in 5 years!!!
yep...5 years!!!

her daddy has never been to ohio.
very north meets south. culture shock, if you will.

this is a SUPER huge ordeal in the griffith house.
5 years + 3 grandbabies that've never been seen = best christmas EVER!!!
*he saw jackson 5 years ago, but has never laid eyes on the youngest 3 griffith kiddos*

so yeah.
new house.
new car.
new bed.
new oven.
daddy in 2 days.
christmas in 4.

forgive the absence.
that is all.

disclaimer: if rachel's accent suddenly gets stronger...it's all her daddy fault. just sayin'.
{& remember: alot of us pronounce daddy as 'diddy' in the south.}

I called my daddy "diddy" for a while as a joke & it stuck for a few years. I've moved on to "paw". (I'm from Nashville, by the way. And I'm almost 30.)

Have a great Christmas!

That is wonderful.

I know what you mean about the accent. (that I claim I don't have - ha ha) I didn't know we say "diddy" until I spent two years at school in Ohio.
