*sigh*
what can i say?!?!
i'm in ♥ with this quilt.
how's that for a predictable statement?!?!
:P

this quilt will have a special place in my heart because of my pregnancy.
i announced the pinwheel sampler quilt along before i knew i was preggo.
well i had a tiny suspicion, but i was being naive.

i think "morning sickness" every single time i look at this quilt.
& how i just HAD to push myself to not let anyone down.
{i had over 350 of yall to answer to.}
it was a struggle, but SO worth it.

please see our flickr group for other completed pinwheel samplers.
pinwheel eye candy galore.

quilt stats:
fabric = simple abundance by bonnie & camille for moda
size = 58 1/2" x 58 1/2"
quilting = darla padilla
complete directions found on my sidebar

oh & for the record...
if i had it to do over again, i totally would've used red print for the binding.
just sayin'.

Pin It!

Beautiful. Having so much background really sets off all of the pinwheels. I have an Irish Chain that I hated the colors, ripped out as much as I stitched, nothing lined up...Then I realized I was pg...Every time I see it I get a little flutter!

I love how your quilt turned out!!
Thanks again for the great quilt-along. I had a lot of fun, and learned a lot too!
I'm still working on my quilt, this week I'll sew all the blocks and sashing together.

I was wondering when we would see the finished product--it looks terrific! I have a layer cake and am going to start mine just now.

Thanks for helping so many of us.

Rachel, your pinwheels are gorgeous and I love all the white background and the swirly quilting lines. So nice that this quilt will always have a special connection to this special baby. Hope all is going well and you don't suffer too much in the summer heat.

It's beautiful! Are you leaving the pinwheel block instructions posted for a while? I'd love to make one of these... whenever I have the time. sigh.

For the record, I think the binding looks great, but, yeah, red would have been nice too.

You take beautiful pictures of your quilts (which are always beautiful as well). What's your secret?

Love the sashing is the same as the backgrounds, it just lets the blocks float beautifully.

That is so gorgeous - your pinwheels really pop against that background. I agree with you that a darker binding might have been interesting, but I like the one you chose!
