i. am. speechless.

11 March 2009

i. am. speechless.
someone made this for ME...rachel!!!

this someone just happens to be the amazingly talented esther.

i literally cried when i opened it.
seriously.
no one has EVER made a quilt specifically for me. EVER.
i was truly touched. and i still am.

back in november we picked our preferences:
i chose red & brown as my colors.
i chose fall as my season.
and i chose a wall quilt.
i'd say esther completely nailed it!!!
wouldn't yall???

her attention to detail is out of this world.
i ♥ everything about this little quilt.
{and the goodies that came with it!!!}

thank you, thank you, thank you esther!!!
i feel like such a lucky gal!!!
i will cherish it forever.
and ever.
promise.

p.s. thank yall for all the "get well" wishes.
yall make my heart happy.

Wow, that quilt is gorgeous! Those Aussie girls can quilt, let me tell you! I was in a couple swaps where I was the recipient of a small quilt from Australia and they were both incredible quilts. You deserve it Rachel! I am glad you got such a nice quilt. You have never had anyone make you a quilt? Is this your first swap?

Oh lucky, lucky you! When I saw that quilt on flickr it made me wish that my color choice was red. I'm still waiting for my 4sqs5 quilt to arrive. Oh, the anticipation!

I'd say Esther went WAY beyond what most of us hope to get in a swap. I'm very happy for you that you got something this lovely, Rachel. Hope you are feeling somewhat better today.

I must pass this cute tidbit onto you. I had just started reading your latest post, while my little one (1 year old) was playing. he likes to push the buttons on the DVD player, and we have our computer hooked up to for the surround sound. well! he pushed the right button, and had it turned on and switched over to the computer, and your music started playing and he started laughing and clapping his hands!!! haha.

What a wonderful gift! It's a beautiful quilt, and a wonderful swap 'get' ~ but the extra touch of putting your name on the label is SUPER special!
I'm very happy for you, you really deserve such wonderful gifties in your mailbox!

I love your tree quilt! I am not always into that style, but I love the applique tree emerging from the pieced background.
