sponsor giveaway: connecting threads

16 June 2013

ah. sponsor giveaway day.
you love them.
i love them.
and my sponsors love them.
:)

today's sponsor is connecting threads.
they are a family owned company that cater to quilters by offering exclusive fabrics.
they also offer popular notions, patterns, books and more.

we all have our favorite notions, right?
notions that make quilting much easier and enjoyable.
things we can't imagine quilting without.

well, the good folks at connecting threads want to share some of their favorite notions with us.

splash.
lookie at the new olfa splash rotary cutter.
i had the chance to work with this cutter this past week.
it cuts like butter.
and it's aqua.
perfection.

salt & pepper thread set.
i love a good thread set.
this salt and pepper thread set is so perfect.
i swear i use more white, cream and grey thread than any other color.
these spools are 1,200 yards each.
now that's a lot of stitching.

omnigrid ruler 2.
to be honest, i haven't used an omnigrid ruler in years.
my first ever ruler was by omnigrid, which i still have, but never use for some reason.
i tired this omnigrip neon ruler and i rather like it.
it's a real good size at 6" x 12".
(99.9% of the time, i use a 6" x 24" ruler.)

grip disc.
confession: before last week, if my rulers ever started to slip because of excessive use, i'd use a bit of clear finger nail polish on the back side.
i'm happy to report that those days are long gone.
these dritz grip discs are such a nifty notion.
they're easy to use and they're transparent.
winning.

wonder clips.
i LOVE wonder clips.
they are one of the very best notions EVER.
if you haven't tried them, you must.
like today.
i mean it.
;)

notions prize pack.
so, now that i've told you about each of these notions, would you like them for yourself?
connecting threads wants to give one lucky ps i quilt reader a notions prize pack.
(everything pictured in this post.)

to enter: visit connecting threads and find something you'd like to add to your stash.
it can be fabrics, threads, books, notions, etc.
THEN come back here and tell me what it is.
be specific.
(winner will be announced tuesday.)

I am now coveting a WHOLE BUNCH of batik fabrics, but i specifically love the key lime garden vines and platinum ripples. Thinking about incorporating them into a table runner or some other small quilt piece. Thanks for entering me in the giveaway.

Very cool bundle of notions! I like the quilter's candy dots and stars. Very cute stash builders. :)

It has to be the classic dots. Especially the Red and Honeysuckle. They're the perfect scale, and the price is so reasonable for such a great basic (what doesn't go with polka dots?)

I would I love some Quilter's Candy Prints or some flannel fabric. A sampler or two, some more thread. I could use some more batting..Did you say only one item?

I love Connecting Threads! I just got an order from them. My LQS doesnt carry Roxanne's needles anymore, so that will be a permanently rotating on my list. I go through those like crazy! I'm glad they carry them at such a great price! I think the notion I would have to have now is those ruler dots! I'm going to have to get some of those! I use a vinyl on mine, but the corners are always folding down. I'm loving the idea of these dots!
