Love the thread combo! I'm inspired by the gorgeous trees in bloom and the robins singing. Corny, but true.

Beautiful combo...what do you use the dual duty thread for...just curious? I felt the same way when I bought coordinating Soul Blossom thread...Spring, especially April is my very favorite of all months it is such a happy, awakening time each year! I have to lay off reading blogs..I am spending too muich $$..I have been ohhing and ahhing Lily & Wil II, but your Smitten pattern sent me over the edge...love the softness of the colors. I have a ton of fabric in my closest and even more creations in my head! Keep on truckin' momma, luv your stuff! Lisa in Texas

Totally inspired by thread. I play with my thread wall all the time for inspiration. That, and buttons. I keep a jar of cheap plastic buttons in a zillion colors so I can play with color combos!

delicious color combo! I'm really loving those fabrics in the background too!

The next project that someone wants me to make is what I hope inspires me. Otherwise it's no fun to work on and no amount of money can make it fun. Doesn't happen too often thankfully!

Beautiful colors Rachel. I bought the Smitten pattern today and can hardly wait. I have a quilt I need to get done so I can have it quilted in time for a certain someone's birthday but then this is next.

Course I have to hope my daughter gets her house soon because right now it's hand work only - it's tough to dig my way in to the sewing machine right now! I sure will miss her though.

I'm on a patterns trend right now in the inspiration department. Things like tile floors, modern art and such. I have a little collection of photos that I hope to (someday) develop quilts out of. We'll see... :)

I am inspired by the colour combo in my son's pajamas....and yes it's almost 1 pm and we're still in our jammies round here--in my defense--it is raining ;0)

So many inspirations exist. I like to look at my favorite photos and try out combinations of colors that nature has already put together so well.

I also like playing with this little online tool: http://colorschemedesigner.com/#2i42jK-hWpBpB

Inspiration?
Yesterday I would have said the pictures of the tornado...all the grays of the clouds with the brighs of the landscapes popping...the trees, the grass, the brick buildings.
This morning would have to be all the colors of the jars in the refrigerator..the green of the peppers, the yellows of the mustards, the darks of the leftover barbeque sauce.
But mostly..friends (what people were and how they express themselves) and home (the canyons, the mountains, the birds, the tomato plants)..

Love the thread colors.

Recently I have been inspired by mother nature. All the wonderful greens, browns and purples. She does a wonderful job of blending them together.

Funny timing, today I was inspired by a mens shirt at the salvation army half price sale. I saw a shirt with colours that i don't naturally turn too and then selected several others to go with it. I am really going out of my box.

I find inspiration in lots of things, but lately I am inspired by kids onesies, especially Carter's brand, they have some great colors paired together, and I love to buy them for my girls to wear!
