remember when i told yall that i love paula deen.
well love might've been too vague of a word.
btw: if you haven't heard my paula deen pie story...
run. do not walk. go as fast as you can & read it before reading the rest of this post.
back to what i was saying...oh yeah...i'm a little addicted to paula deen.
i inhaled that $8 pie. i own her cookbooks. i ummm get her magazine.
yeah. addicted.
enter my newest paula deen fix: her cookware.
*drool*
i've been holding out. really.
i wanted the "butter" cookware, but couldn't ever find it when i wanted it.
well then i came home from teaching in san antonio...and wham bam thank you mam!!!
hubby bought me two pieces of paula's "robin's egg blue" cookware.
so then yesterday happened.
*sigh*
we were standing there looking paula in the face...well her face on the box.
& i couldn't decide how far i was gonna push this paula deen purchase.
then my hubby actually said it: "get it all. you know you want it anyways."
*que the hallelujah chorus*
i have WAY more than two pieces of paula deen cookware now & this is my happy face =)
next up: painting my kitchen to "match" my paula deen cookware.
should i go all matchy matchy with robin's egg blue?!?!
or should i compliment my cookware with {pale} butter colored walls?!?!
decisions, decisions.

I love Robin Egg's Blue cookware! It makes the prospect of cooking so much more enjoyable. :)
I would definitely go complimentary with the wall color. The buttery yellow sounds divine. If there is any space for fabric in your kitchen, it would be fun to use a fabric that carries both colors.
EEEEEKKKKKK! Lucky duck! Def butter yellow! JEnn
Oh I think the butter colored walls would look delightful.. not to mention delicious :) I would LOVE to see them.. and would love to have them in my own home.
Gorgeous! I'd go w/ complementary butter colored walls. :)
tell me if you like it.. DUH!!! seriously let me know as I was looking at her line for my new cookware
also did you get the download?
You lucky lady. I like both wall colors but I think I would tire of the blue, but I love blue and yellow.
You are just too funny!!
My kitchen walls are a flat finish butter color! I vote for that. It makes me and my kitchen happy.
Yay! What a sweet, spoiling hub. Enjoy it! You know he'll probably do anything to get you to love and keep cooking LOL.
Yay! I have the oval enameled cast iron piece, and I LOVE it...totally do the butter colored walls...Paula would be SO proud! :)
LUV Paula!!!! Pale butter on the walls...too much robin's egg blue will make you nuts!
Beautiful cookware! Definitely go with the butter yellow walls! So bright and cheerful and happy!

Blue and yellow are so great together. I think the yellow would totally set off your gorgeous new cookware. You have found your inspiration piece. Run with it!!
Butter yellow for sure!!!! Your kitchen will be so sunny :)
Love It! I have Paula Deen's Dutch Oven in Red and absolutely love it! I would love to have the rest too! Let us know how you like it. Laura
Definitely yellow walls. I have a yellow kitchen and I love it!
Yay for you!!!! I say going with the buttery walls to compliment the cookware...you want it to stand out (just like Paula would!)
for sure paint the butter yellow!
i would go with the robins egg blue but lighten it by 50 to 75% to give the slightest tint to the pale walls....awesome.
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOhhhhhhhhh, AAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH....that is GORGEOUS cookware! I love the Robin's Egg blue! I'd say go with the butter walls. Then if Paula comes out with more pieces you could still get some in the butter & they'd match the walls! LOL! LOVED the pie story. HIlarious.
I can't wait to hear how you like using the pots and pans! They sure look beautiful!
I have her knives and the set of pots and pans. I like them because they are affordable but still good quality. I wanted the robin's egg blue but when I purchased them that color wasn't available, and I need it pots and pans that day. so I got the red which are great too.
I'm liking the idea of the butter colored kitchen with the robin's egg blue pots and pans.
I LOVE IT!!!
A good friend of mine has given her granddaughter every piece of red Paula Deen's cookware she could get her hands on...the only thing missing, as far as I know, is the small loaf pans. This was her wedding shower gift.
I think you should definitely go for the butter color. C'mon y'all, you KNOW how much Paula LOVES butter!!!
Are you kidding?? Butter yellow?? What does Paula Deen use in (almost) every single thing she cooks?????? BUTTER!!!!! GO FOR IT!!! (Or, at least, get the yellow that looks like yellow cake batter!! ha)
what an awesome hubby!!!!!!
we have the lime green version of her cookware, that came out 2 summers ago. i had to have it!!!! its the only thing that would go in my lime green kitchen, after all :) it was a wedding present from some great friends!
With your love of PD I'm sure you've asked yourself...
What would Paula Deen do?
My vote is for yellow walls.
oh, I have been drooling over that cookware for months now!!! I NEED those badly, they are so pretty!! I am so jealous!
Go with the butter yellow, then get a couple of pieces of her yellow cookware to contrast with your blue. It's gorgeous - I feel the same way about Nigella Lawson's cookware. Haven't bought any because I know I couldn't choose just a couple of pieces.
I've also spotted this cookware and "want" need some.
I wonder if it's available in a green-with-envy color?!?! Congratulations. Now, let everyone else know what other pieces you need in time for Christmas shopping. Thanks for sharing.
Love the pie story! And I have to agree on how pretty the cook wear is. Also Paula Deen is one of my rock stars in the cooking world! Oh and one last thing: Butter cream walls for your kitchen. A soft yellow in any kitchen just makes it cheerer it work in.
Oh, how beautiful is that cookware! :) Butter yellow walls for sure...what color are the walls in her kitchen? I'll have to tune in and watch her show this weekend!
Awesome color enjoy :)
Hello rachel,
I am making your postage stamp quilt along now, cause I didn't have the time in January. It really is fun! I am currently reading the old entries of your blog - I love it.
The cookware is really cool - but I guess my boyfriends reaction would be: we got too much stuff already, don't buy new things, we don't have the space.
Cheers from Italy
Go with the warm buttery yellow. It will make the room happier looking, and it will show off the cookware instead of "blending it in."
I would also use some rosy red or soft orange accents as a little "popper" color.
The cookware is sooooooo pretty!! I would go with the buttery yellow for your walls. Love it!! You'll want to cook all the time or just spend more time in the kitchen looking at your pretty cookware!! :) Such a sweet hubby!
Holy cow. That is the prettiest cookware I have ever seen!!! I'm a newbie to Paula Deen (yes, don't hate me) so I will have to check everything out. I'm sure I will thank you? later. ;)
Congrats!
Oh, and I would go with the yellow walls.
So I didn't know she had packaged food at Walmart! I, too, love her cooking! Have you been to her restaurant? Best fried chicken and banana pudding I ever ate. And I've bought my second robin's egg blue tea kettle from her - so pretty. Thanks for the info and for all the inspiration! Smiles, Sarah
Well, we all would know what Paula would say ... go for the BUTTER!!!
I love this too! The more you post the more I like you! We share the same tastes and would be instant friends I think:)
I have not seen this color. Watch out, shopping in the near future. Butter colored walls.
NICE! I'd go with the butter colored walls. You crack me up...I well remember that pie story!
Butter and Robin's Egg blue are two of the best colors in the world.
How EXCITING for you!!!
I have plans for a butter-walled kitchen. But I think I should wait to have my baby in 4 weeks first. Perhaps this summer.
Good luck picking your scheme.
i would go for a cream colour. those are beautiful cookware. lucky girl.
That is the best looking cookware I have ever seen. I am a big fan of butter in the kitchen, including the walls...for paint in this case. I am happy for you.
Have you thought of a color like Toast on the walls? I am seeing a lot of Toast paired with the Robin Egg Blue. Second choice would be the Yellow. Good luck.
You know you're truly a designer when you adore something as basic as kitchenware because of its beauty! I myself have a hard time choosing dish soap (yes! dish soap!) because I can never decide which color... they are all so pretty when they are lined up, colorful and prism-y...
And for the record, I love the idea of butter colored walls!
Do what Paula would do and paint it the butter color!! You know she'd love it!!
