Sounds like lots of fun Rachel!
I just happen to have two jelly rolls - so I think I am in! What is the approximate size of the finished quilt?
Adorable! Let's see what I can do Rachel!
I am in!!! I know a "real" postage stamp quilt is supposed to be all uniqe fabrics, but I don't like the lack of control...so thanks for this. And how big will this be in the end? Bed size? I have decided that's what I need to make....now to think about what jelly rolls I want...hmmm
Fun! I'm going to join, I've been wanting to do a postage stamp quilt too. Ok, I'm off to buy my jelly rolls.
Woo Hoo!!! I am so in - I loved your pinwheel quilt along last year so I know that I will love this one as well. Super excited about it.
Thanks!
I like the 60 X 80 size... it will look great on the end of my guest room bed. I am ordering my jelly rolls right now..so yes, I am in!
I'm in! At least I am now, hope I can keep up...
I have some jelly rolls looking for a project, but no solids, I'll use stash scraps for that. Works for you?
It's a beautiful quilt, Rachel. Can a beginner complete this, or am I just setting myself up for failure? I've only made one quilt...doll size. And I'm sure I didn't make it according to all the rules. LOL
I'm in if you think it would make a good first-time quilt. Happy Monday! :o)
I can't pass up one of your quilt alongs1 Count me in!
I will try my hardest to do this quilt-along. I have sooo many projects to finish.
great! now I know what I can buy from FQS with all my Christmas gift cards! Can't wait. I've been wanting to do one of these for a while too. I might make a scrappy one whilst making the "jelly roll"ed one too.
I'm in...can't resist!! I'm checking my jelly rolls and making my plans!!
I'm in - haven't done a quilt along so this should be tons 'o fun!
I'm in. This sounds like fun !
OMG you're so good at teaching with the quilt alongs. I've just never been able to finish any of them. I want so badly to do this one too; just don't know if I can with having 5 court costumes for Mardi Gras to make--and I am talking the lavish costumes! Guess I'll have to pass, but will be following along with y'all anyway! Just love your quilt alongs and all the neat stuff you show all of us. Shelly
I'm in! I joined in on another of your "alongs" but then I moved and never finished it.
Woo hoo!!! I've been dying for a quilt-along since the crazy holiday season began, but I didn't have time. Now I've got lots. Yay!!! I'm in!
So in and joined the Flickr group already. Thanks for hosting!
this sounds like fun! I'm in. I have 3 large tubbies of jelly rolls. Perfect.
I am in!!!!!! My first quilt along...not sure what to expect but sounds like fun :o)
Hahaha, I suggested buying more jelly rolls to my husband and he just glared. I do have some half yards I can slice into instead. Will it all be WOF strips or can I sneak some fat quarters in too?
This is such a great opportunity to use up a Sent With Love jelly roll and some solid white yardage that I have on hand! This is my year to use up my stash in meaningful and creative ways, and this project fits right in! Of course I might have to do a little shopping for binding and backing, but that's ok!
I've already joined the Flickr group and can't wait to get started!
Thanks so much for sharing this with us!
MGM
I'm in! This will be fun!
I've always thought a postage stamp quilt was complicated, tedious, and would take forever. Yet you make it sound so easy! I think I'm going to tag along and try it!
I'm in!
(I think ... we'll see if I manage to keep up)
I already have one jelly roll and some off white muslin to go with it.
Sarah
Sounds like fun! I've also always wanted to make one, too! I'm in!!

I'd like to join this quilt along; however, I'm new to the blog...what does it mean to grab a button?
Thanks for your patterns.
I <3 this idea! It looks like fun, but alas, I dont know that I can afford to participate this go. Single income family and all that. So, enjoy ladies! Cant wait to see what y'all come up with! <3 <3 <3
I just ordered my required fabrics, so I'm in! I'm so excited, this is my first quilt along! Thanks for hosting!
I am going to give it a go. I think all I need to buy is the solid. I will probably use up Christmas FQ's and scraps.
I'm in!! I have been wanting to make a postage stamp quilt!!
I had so much fun with the pinwheel quilt along that I am definitely signing up for the postage stamp! I'm in! Thanks, Rachel!
Count me in! I already know which jelly rolls I'll be using (I've had them for over a year just waiting to be used!) so I just need the backing and the binding! Looking forward to it! :)
I'm in! I'm so excited. This is my first quilt along. Can't wait. Will be fun to see what everyone makes. Awesome coupon for FQS for our jelly rolls too!!
Thanks for doing this!! Ruth :)
Any idea if a design roll with 24 WOF strips will be enough for this?
I am with you! :)
Just ordered two Jelly Rolls.
Best wishes from Germany!
Susanne
I'm in! I can't wait! I also love the postage stamp quilts and jelly rolls probably make it easier! :) Going to order some fabric now!
one of my goals in 2011 is to use up my scraps and this is perfect! I'll be making my own jelly roll (even though these beautiful new fabrics are soooooo tempting!!!)
thx Rachel!! :)
I just got my jelly rolls at FatQuarterShop so I am in!
Thanks, Rachel!
Oh, I have a Central Park jelly roll just waiting for me to decide what to do with it. And with 14 yards of Kona Ash I think I can make my own solid jelly roll - hee hee!
btw - does finished just mean the quilt top? They aren't shipping yardage of Central Park yet so I wouldn't be able to back it.
nooooooo, why do you have to do this to me, I have a million and one quilts to finish and then this is posted...*sigh*...oh well it will make a beautiful baby quilt :)......runs of to fabric shack!
Ooooh, I am so in! I have a William Morris Brackman jelly roll from the last batch of those she did, and I'd LOVE to see how that turns out with this. Now for solids...
Joining! I ordered my Pure jelly roll and Bella white jelly roll. Can't wait to get them :D
...Is there a way to subscribe so I get an email notification when you do a new Post, Rachel?
I'm in. I don't know how I will find the time but I cannot pass this one up!
Off to go shopping now. :) Hmm, mabye I'll double the size and give it to hubs for the bed.
So excited!!! I have been looking for a quilt a long since the new year came. This looks perfect! Now I gotta decide what jelly rolls to order! There are so many I love!!
In in! Just ordered my fabric - so cool about the discount! Thx!!!!
don't have a clue what I will be doing but I want to play along too
I am going to try to do this one! Thanks! Loving this Sunkissed fabric by Sweetwater!
I'm in, too. But is it allowed to use scraps?
xo Vanree
I'm in. I hope we are allowed to use scraps, becuase that what I plan on using. Thanks, I"m looking forward to this. It's will be my first quilt along.
Rachel, I so loved your last quilt along, I have to join this on, especially since I've always loved the look of a postage stamp quilt but wasn't brave enough to start one on my own :) But I'm sticking to my self-imposed moratorium and using my existing stash ... happen to have a couple of sweet KT jelly rolls to choose from and now an excuse to use them!! You rock, as always, Rachel! Thanks!!
I'm in this looks like fun.
I'm in! I know I won't be able to keep up--January is super busy! However, I look forward to tagging behind :-)
I happened to stumble upon this! I'm in, though I don't have much hope of finishing in January. I bought a Christmas jelly roll, so it would be great to finish a project for NEXT Christmas so early :)
Count me in!
I had just decided to make a 81-patch (times 9) quilt!
All for practising the 1/4 iinch seem.
Yep, I'm in.
Awesome Rachel! I'm in! Can't wait to get started! How do i "grab the button"?
I'm in!! I love the postage stamp quilt! Can't wait to get started...after I decide on which jelly rolls to use. Thanks; this will be fun!
I'm in -- I've already found what I need at my LQS -- yeah for me!
Sounds like a great idea! I'll be joining you!
Mrs. Hearts
I'm in! Just ordered my jelly rols, Thanks!
I'm in! Can't wait!
I'm IN!!! Not sure what jelly rolls I'm using yet. Oh the choices!!!
I would like to join this I will have to see if I can get ready in time. I have wanted to do one of these for some time too, A group may encourage me.
Found the perfect bright jelly roll and have plenty of white for my solid, so count me in!
Love it! I am so in!
I'm in! My friend Kim told me about this. I have another quilt along that I'm starting in February (Heather Ross), so I hope I can finish this up before then! I think I've decided to use the green/purple Tufted Tweets colorways.
What a great way to start off the new year! I'm in.
Jelly Rolls ordered! I'm excited to participate...this is my first quilt along.
Oh I'm in! I might have a late start, though, ordering my jelly rolls tonight :)
Oh I'm in too! This will be my first quilt along! Now, to decide to use a Jelly roll from my stash or order something new. I adore the Sunkissed your using! Thanks so much for hosting this quilt along! I'm looking forward to it!
I am So in!
Yes! I just ordered my jelly rolls from my favorite online store, Fat Quarter Shop. I saved $18.30. That is half of a reg. priced jelly roll. Hmmmm... another order?
I'm in. Lovin' it already.
Okay, I'm in, but I'm using scraps instead of a new jelly roll if that's cool. I already had a bunch cut for a different project, but I like this one better...
And I'm committed to finishing this time as the pinwheel sampler ended up being a no-go. I will finish!!
I promised myself I would join in on the next quilt along when I missed the Pinwheel Sampler last year. I've ordered my fabrics, and I'm in!
I'm in, it's going to be my first quilt along and I'm super excited!!
i'm in - can't wait to start!!
I'm in, my first quilt along. Love it!

Im in for sure! Half the fun is picking out the colors!
Sounds like so much fun. I am in!
This is too cute to pass up even though I have 2 half finished quilts. I will be using my stash. I just hope that I can get my strips cut straight.
How exciting! If I have the time I might actually have to join my first quilt along!
Don't you just love the sunkissed line? It's just so beautiful!
I wanna be in...yet having troubles getting the button?
I'm in! Have your button/link on my blog and my fabric on the cutting table.
I'm so excited - I've been wanting to find a project for my Martinique jelly roll - this will be perfect. Thanks Rachel
I just purchased three jelly rolls coz I couldn't make up my mind. Half Moon (black/white), Spirit (brown, pink, turq, green yummy) and A Breath of Avignon (red, yellow, blue retro looking).
Oh my.
I am so excited for this quilt along! I've never done one before but I've been wanting to do a postage stamp quilt for a while--perfect!
What a coinkidink - I just got a sunkissed jelly roll and a white bella solid roll in the mail today. They were intended for other projects, but I like this one a whole lot!
I'm going to try my best to keep up! I won a moda prize pack from the Stitchin' Heaven twitter party on new years' eve so I'll probably use whatever comes in that! I have another kelly roll sitting here in my stash as an alternative, but I'm eyeing Fresh Floowers, too...*sigh* so many choices, such little time!
Evil temptress. I won't have enough time to get fabric from the States so I'll have to use stash! (gasp!) But oh some of those jelly rolls are tempting...
I think that means I am in!
I'm in! Looking forward to it!
I'm in! Placed my order with The Fat Quarter Shop, if anyone else from Australia is wondering they can fit 2 jelly rolls and 2 charm packs into a single flat rate envelope, how awesome is that! I bought Oasis and Antique Fair, couldn't decide which one and I didn't know which plain color I wanted to put with it until I saw it in person so there you go :) Hope they make it in time!
I think I too would love to try this.
But since I am new/beginner, can I aim for a baby quilt first, with the fabrics I already have?
I'm in! I already have my jelly rolls ready.
I'd like to participate, Rachel. I've never made one and would enjoy the opportunity.
My order from FQS will be here Monday. Can't wait to start!
My MIL used to give a postage-stamp quilt to her new daughters-in-law on their first anniversary. It was totally handmade and done from the husband's old shirts and dresses of his sister(s) and mother.(FQ memories!) I treasured mine and now my daughter has it. It's a great project and one you're going to love. Have also crocheted one from leftover yarn pieces. Long story short, it's for me to make another. I'm in.
Ordered and already got my Lila Tueller "Spirit" for this one! So excited. I am making the quilt for my daughter, who is a Friends Freak just like you, Rachel!
Showed her the fabrics and she is super excited too. Someday she'll want to make her own - I hope!!
I'm in. I went with batiks though. My LQS has awful jellyroll selection. I can't wait!
I'm in! Although I'll be cutting fabrics down (eeeeek) rather than using Jelly rolls, so I'd probably better get started! This is going to form one of the picnic blankets for our wedding this summer...
I'm in! Now I just have to chose the jelly roll - I have three waiting for projects. I think I'll be using Pure.... I think.
What a fun project.
Count me in. I have a ton of jelly rolls to pick from, but I wouldn't mind doing this in Central Park. Might mean a shopping trip to the FQ shop!
ooo...can't wait to participate! just ordered the fabric...have one jelly roll but needed a neutral to go with it! woohoo!
just order my jellyrolls from fat quarter. How nice for them to offer a coupon. I am using moda's lovely
Oh my gosh! I will be joining in! I have organised a couple of friends in Australia to do it too. I am considering using my prized Verna stash, it's nail bitingly terrifying. I want to make it a bit bigger with fat quarters I have too. All that extra maths is doing my head in. I think biting the bullet and going for it is the only way. Thanks so much!!
I would love to join. However, I will not use a jelly roll but some of my huge amount of scraps.
this looks great. could you use a honey bun instead of a jelly roll?
thnaks
guess who just got a gift cert in the mail from her BFF?!?!?!???? YEP! That would be me! WOOT! WOOT! To Beverly's I go after work today! I am so freakin excited!
I've got my fabric together! I've posted it at http://busyhandsquilts.blogspot.com/2011/01/postage-stamp-quilt-along.html
Mrs. Hearts
I like to participate too.
I have the fabric and start cutting the white fabric {it is not a jelly roll} on thursday and sewing the strips. Post pictures later.
Greetings from Holland,
Marga♥
P.s. Thanks for doing this.
Ok, I am starting late so need to get a move on. I will be using a Bliss jelly roll I already have. But I love the Fat Quarter Shop, and am excited about the discount, thanks!! I think I will order a couple of jelly rolls to make one later.
Can I still join. I would love to if I can .
I'm in! I would love to join in...but, I can't buy my fabric until monday... but, I'll sew like crazy to catch up and post on flickr, too! :)
I am in just waiting for my supplies to arrive yet...
I'm in, getting a late start though. Went to the LQS tonight and picked up a jelly roll in Punctuation. So cute! I am hoping to make this for my sis' baby.....
Oh a postage stamp quilt was on my list to do, what better time than now to get started, with others to cheer me on!!! Yippeee!
I am just getting started. Ordered my rolls. Hope I can catch up!
I'd like to try!
I wanna play along! I hope I can catch up...Feb 1st is really close!!
Okay, my jelly rolls just arrived. Kona solid in brown and Spirit by Lila Tueller.
I just found this wonderful little challenge, Wow, it sounds like fun.
I've never done a postage stamp quilt before. count me in. I'll order my fabrics today. : )
Obviously behind schedule, but I'm IN :) I'm waiting for the goodies from FQS. Thank you for this wonderful quilt along project. Can't wait to start (but I must wait....ummmm that's tough!!!)
What fun! Looking forward to seeing what people make.
I am already working on my own postage stamp quilts #5, 6, & 7 at the same time! #4 had 4096 pieces in it. I LOVE to make them, I use 2 inch squares and go completely scrappy, as in practically no duplicates.
I call these quilts "Big Hugs" and the scrappy ones are like I Spy quilts. See one at http://thecuriousquilter.wordpress.com/2010/09/19/another-big-hug-finishing-feels-great/
Being already buried in little squares, I will pass on your jelly roll quilts, but am glad to see anyone else catch the postage stamp 'bug!'
- Mary, The Curious Quilter
I'm getting a late start :D
I linked your button on my blog!
This sounds super exciting! I'm wiggling in my seat right now cause I can hardly wait to get started!!! Yippee! I seriously love jelly rolls and have been waiting for a really great quilt along. This is it! I hope I can keep up with it!
I'm going to try posting a link to this on my blog. I just recently starting blogging and have become a little bit addicted.
To Lisa, who responded in early January:
A "postage stamp" quilt is a quilt comprised of small pieces, usually 1" finished or smaller. You were thinking of a "Charm" quilt when you said the pieces all had to be "unique."
For an authentic charm quilt, you may only use each material once in the top.
Hope this clarifies things for you.
