A romantic picnic with the hubby or just by yourself (not the romantic part, kinda hard to be romantic with yourself!). Whatever it is, the picture is lovely.
well..they are all things that you would take to a park? Quilt Park City...picnic basket for the park...reading books to the park...just a quess and I do love your quilt!
A day in Central Park (or at Central Perk!)-- with a Central Park quilt and a basket of goodies to munch on while reading the day away. Aside from the feet of snow in the park right now, it sounds lovely.
Well, it's summer somewhere, so a picnic on a beautiful day in a field with birds chirping, a quilt to lay on, a good book to read, and peace and quiet - hmm, except for the candle, where would that fit in?!?
A much needed, relaxing 'me' giveaway. I can almost imagining wrapping up in my favorite quilt, with the sweet scent of my favorite candle and a Nicholas Sparks novel in hand.... If I am dreaming.... don't pinch me!
I am going to guess differently than everyone else and go out on a limb hear and say that maybe you are going to the Longaberger Basket Festival at Yankee Candl this summer. I could be completely off, but they are having one and that is the only thing that I could think of. Or maybe I am just way off base and you will get a good chuckle at my guess :D Love the quilt, way cute.
Survival kit in case of a power outage caused by the ice storm that is supposed to be coming through tonight? Basket full of non perishables, nice cozy quilt, and candle to read the books by. Sounds like a great power outage plan to me. :)
Just started using Central Park in a quilt along and recognized the beautiful colors right away! I'd guess it's a picnic quilt complete with basket and books to read on a fabulous day out...plus doesn't everyone light a candle when they're out picnicking in the park? :)
A quick way to pick up when company is at the door. THrow the books in the basket and fold the quilt and cover everything. Ha ha . Used this method many times. Now I find old ufo's in my baskets.
Looks like an evening to your self wrapped up in the quilt to relax and read and endulge in the good wine and cheese from your basket. That's my guess. I can't wait to see what all this means.
Omg my favorite things! I think it sounds like a perfect weekend- sewing a quilt with a scented candle while watching a Nicholas sparks movie and ordering lots of Longaberger baskets! My husband would say all 4 of those items are the things I have way tooooo many of!
My Longabergers hold lots of quilting supplies and quilts...but not the other two. :) Can't say my book shelves have ever held anything by Nicholas Sparks.
Quiet alone time, relaxing outdoors with a picnic and a good read. I think you forgot the sweet tea. Whatever it is, it looks good to me... Toni Anne ;->
A friend of mine always goes to this Longaberger factory thing and there is a Yankee Candle factory there also, so that's what I'm thinking. The books are for you to read on the bus ride?
I'm hoping it's a giveaway - a romantic evening picnic in the park with Channing Tatum!! (Dear John movie created from Nicholas Spark's novel of the same name) :)
Many people think a picnic would be a great place for all these items and I think so as well....but, I would much rather see them all on a boat (somewhere warm) floating leisurely on a lake, taking in the warm sun and smell of the water. And, Yes, it is cold and snowy where I am right now, I am dreaming of a summer day.
well, knowing that OH is going to get covered with snow and ice, I would say and indoor picnic while the power goes out! Love the beauty of the quilt, basket and the books match perfectly!
Here in New Bern, NC that would be a great afternoon out and since Nicholas Sparks lives here, you might just see him out too!!! (i have only ever seen his car...his license plate identifys him!) But i do have to agree with the others that this could be a gorgeous photo shoot also!!!
I would have to agree - a trip away, time to relax, but since you have that sweet little one, I suspect this may be for someone else! No matter what it looks delightful! I love the quilt the most! Blessings! Janelle www.usmajcole.blogspot.com
I am guessing that you are getting ready for that big ice storm you should be getting tomorrow :D. I hope my sister is getting ready (she lives in Lorain).
They are all woven things. That if not together would just be pieces and not a whole. The fabric is woven fibers made into a quilt, the basket is woven pieces of wood, and the books are stores that are woven together without all of them you would just have pieces of the story not all of it.
Yes, they too are some of my favorite things that that provide a purpose and function once put together to make a whole.
Hmmm, that looks like a lovely little getaway to me!! Packing some goodies into that basket and heading off for some peace and quiet to read a good book. =)
first you'll lay out the blanket and eat some snacks, maybe have some wine. then, you'll read the notebook. you'll be so disappointed and saddened by the story that you'll use the candle to set the book on fire.
at least, that's what i'd do. (that story is so devastating, i can't stand it. i almost start sobbing just thinking about it.)
I would say picnic, but that is a pretty large stack of books for a typical picnic...and why the candle?
AHH! I've got it. Your husband is having a Super Bowl party with his friends and you are going on a picnic so you miss it. You'll spread out your quilt. You have food stashed in the basket. You have the stack of books to take up the time, and you have the candle so you can read just past dusk before heading home.
If the longaberger basket is filled with hot cocoa you have the perfect group of things for a winter snow storm- oh the candle too in case my power goes out! I'm in WI and we are supposed to get 20" in the next couple of days! Love the quilt in the background by the way!
Getting ready for a snowstorm where there will be no power! A blanket for warmth, a candle for light, books for entertainment and a basket to carry it all in!
I love storing my quilts with a candle, and then pulling them out of the storage container (i.e. a really nice basket or off of the quilt rack!) having them smell like my favorite candle, and then cuddling up and reading a good book! :)
I hope it's your own little mini-geataway for a weekend... even if it's to another room in front of the fire place ;) Loooove all of those books! and if you love Nicholas Sparks, you'll probably will like Richard Paul Evans too! Enjoy! hugs, margie
The electricity was off. The quilt was to keep you and the kids warm. The basket was to hold the books. And, the candle was to give light so you could read the books to the kids. TaDa - Mom reading stories is one way to keep the kids entertained when there is no electricity.
I would say a kit for an indoor picnic to escape the SuperBowl. Either that or a kindness kit for a sick friend/relative who loves Nicholas Sparks novels!
Do tissues come with it? If it's N.Sparks books it must! I would say summer (or at least warmer weather). Outside on the quilt with goodies in the basket and books in hand. Of course I would also add a few books for a little boy I know :-)
Sounds like you are going somewhere where it is sunny, warm, romantic to have a picnic and read. OR you are getting ready for the next ice/snow storm with you picnic basket loaded goodies with a quilt to crawl under to keep warm with books to ready by candlelight. OR maybe your next give-away.
Things to do with a park? I saw this new quilt of yours at the fat quarter shop. I'm thinking since its park related because it's made with Central Park fabric.
I would say comfort... a quilt to snuggle under, a longaberger just equals comfort and a sense of home and good sappy reading - that is comfort indeed!
A picnic? A girls weekend away with those fun items? Or how about a fabric liner for the Longaberger basket, designed by Nicolas Sparks with Moda Fabric that we could win?
All very creative and made by loving hands! The candle is the SPARK of imagination that WEAVES (of the longaberger basket) the stories of the Nicholas SPARKS books. The common THREAD connects the lovely QUILT that WEAVES family talent and treasured memories together. The QUILT holds wonderful memories, the BASKET holds the QUILT, the BOOKS, and the CANDLE. And last but not least - I would LOVE to own all of the above!!
My guess is... if I set up a picnic with a beautiful quilt, light a candle and read all of Nicholas Sparks books in one sitting, my long lost true love will find me and we'll live happily ever after..close? :) Is your quilt a featured item on the Longaberger site?
something to do when the lights go out. it is hard to cut fabric by candlelight, better to read. should get a basket ready if the power goes out with this storm.
A picnic in Central Park? Just saying.. cause isn't that Kate Spain's Central Park in the quilt? and a picnic basket and some books - perfect afternoon in Central Park I think!
I'm thinking a photo shoot for a book or magazine. Love the quilt, Nicholas Sparks books make me cry and anything in a Longaberger basket is wonderful!
Can't wait to hear what is actually going on! Sandy A
OK how does inspiration sound. The books are similar the pretty colours of central park and the basket pattern is also similar to the pattern in the quilt that is in the backdrop. Alright you got me...please let me know.
Baskets, and blankets, and good books and candles... these are a few of my favorite things.... (work with me here... sing it to the tune from Sound of Music!) wink ;-)
I think you are running away from everything to go to a retreat with all your favorite goodies in that basket. Of course I could be wrong since I see no chocolate there. LOL
Relaxing...a quilt to spread out for a picnic or curl up with to read the books while the candle is burning and enjoying a glass of wine or hot cup of tea with the wonderful goodies in the basket. These items would all make a beautiful gift for someone, putting them all in the basket to present. I know I would love to have it! Spring is on it's way.
Love that quilt, absolutely love reading Nicholas Sparks (have every one of his books) so I would guess a relaxing evening of reading, scented candle and some goodies in that basket just for you!
I am guessing getting ready for the massive snow storm! A Central Park quilt for warmth, the candle to read your books by when the power goes out and the longaberger basket to keep all the little items you need so you don't have to get up to get them!!
I'm guessing they are all a few of your favorite things. I know they are a few of mine! I LOVE that Longaberger basket. Mine sits next to my machine holding a couple of my kits that are "on my list" to try and tackle this year.
My guess (hope) is that these items are relate to your next tutorial. The basket is woven. The quilt blocks alternate directions. The strips in the quilt blocks could be candlesticks. The color of the books is also in the quilt but maybe the books are there to represent the themes that Nicholas Sparks incorporates in his books - love, relationships, and commitment.
First, each one of those items provides a different kind of comfort. Second, they each have their own pattern or story to tell. Well, maybe that's a stretch for the candle, but they all have a "spark" for something good!!!!
Blog virgin alert: 1st time commenting ... love your blog.
Looks like time spent at the cottage: watching the snow gently falling, enjoying the beautiful basket filled with lovely fabrics in colours that make spring seem close, a lovely candle to burn while dreaming of spring (& summer too)& 3 wonderful Nicholas Sparks books to anticipate enjoying with a cup of tea & some lemon cookies. What pleasure if that should come to me! :>)

A long weekend near the beach/pool under the sun (which I miss so much over the weekend).

Much-needed "you" time? A giveaway?
A picnic in the park with time to read and relax :)
Beach Trip!!!
A romantic picnic with the hubby or just by yourself (not the romantic part, kinda hard to be romantic with yourself!). Whatever it is, the picture is lovely.

It looks like something I wish I had gifted my friend!
One of your quilts in a book?!
well..they are all things that you would take to a park? Quilt Park City...picnic basket for the park...reading books to the park...just a quess and I do love your quilt!
Someone gave John the choice of the last song, he chose 'candle in the wind' and everyone thought he was a basket case so he took up quilting..?
Whoops...Central Park, not Park City!
A present for a sick friend?
I´m thinking about some kind of picnic or beach trip.
Looks like a fun relaxing get away. Anything with a Longaberger basket, quilt and books is a good time.
I'm guessing Valentine's Day?
I'm thinking a day or weekend at the park or lake (or retreat hotel where I can sit outdoors) with me, myself, and I.
At least, that is what it means to me!
A picnic where your significant other reads aloud mushy Nicholas Sparks books and watches you sob uncontrollably :)
A much needed, relaxing 'me' giveaway. I can almost imagining wrapping up in my favorite quilt, with the sweet scent of my favorite candle and a Nicholas Sparks novel in hand.... If I am dreaming.... don't pinch me!
*hugs*

The makings of a wonderful romantic comedy!
Spring/suumer -- a picnic in the park -- beautiful weather -- sigh!
They belong to your wonderful sponsors. And just maybe they all want to be part of your next give-away.
Four of my favorite things! Just hope there is chocolate and a diet coke in the basket!
A weekend retreat?
Survival kit in case of a power outage caused by the ice storm that is supposed to be coming through tonight? Basket full of non perishables, nice cozy quilt, and candle to read the books by. Sounds like a great power outage plan to me. :)
A day off????
i want to say a picnic, but that would be too easy. i am stumped. i just keep thinking picnic.
Just started using Central Park in a quilt along and recognized the beautiful colors right away! I'd guess it's a picnic quilt complete with basket and books to read on a fabulous day out...plus doesn't everyone light a candle when they're out picnicking in the park? :)
The makings of a really good giveaway that I want to win?!?!
maybe a weekend beach getaway?
Looks like a great "Get Away" basket to me!
New Sponsors for your blog?? A Few of your favorite things??? A Few of my favorite things??

I would guess, "A GIVEAWAY". Am I right!! It certainly is wonderful to look at.
Looks like the making of an awesome picnic in the park!
It looks like a pretty cover art for a book. :)
A quick way to pick up when company is at the door. THrow the books in the basket and fold the quilt and cover everything. Ha ha . Used this method many times. Now I find old ufo's in my baskets.
All of my favorite things? Especially since the quilt is made with my new favorite fabrics - Central Park!
So I guess a picnic in the park would be my guess.
Looks like an evening to your self wrapped up in the quilt to relax and read and endulge in the good wine and cheese from your basket. That's my guess. I can't wait to see what all this means.
it's my birthday present, and so early ;O}
how thoughtful of you, and to share with everyone else the pics.....
haha
Love the book choices, I have read all of those. Great books!
Not sure what you will actually do with all that, but I look forward to hearing all about it, hope you are having a great day rachel!
Omg my favorite things! I think it sounds like a perfect weekend- sewing a quilt with a scented candle while watching a Nicholas sparks movie and ordering lots of Longaberger baskets! My husband would say all 4 of those items are the things I have way tooooo many of!
Picnic giveaway?
A romantaic getaway, or the necessary items to have on hand when snowed in.
Vacation! Sounds wonderful!
MGM
You are giving it as a gift to a friend for their birthday! What a sweet gift for a special friend. Have a great day.
Spring is finally here!
My Longabergers hold lots of quilting supplies and quilts...but not the other two. :) Can't say my book shelves have ever held anything by Nicholas Sparks.
I'm not sure, but they all go beautifully with that Central Park quilt. :)
This sounds like a perfect recipe for a staycation.
Some of your favorite things.
They make for a lovely afternoon in the park.
All things Rachel loves? I'm also going with the "me time"/getaway idea...
Can't be a road trip to Longaberger because they are closed until March... or is it April? I <3 Longaberger!

Winter distractions...a portable getaway without leaving my snowy neighborhood!

A friend of mine always goes to this Longaberger factory thing and there is a Yankee Candle factory there also, so that's what I'm thinking. The books are for you to read on the bus ride?
I'd say the name of a new quilt... :)I hope I'm right! :)
a perfect afternoon!
I'm hoping it's a giveaway - a romantic evening picnic in the park with Channing Tatum!! (Dear John movie created from Nicholas Spark's novel of the same name) :)

Happy Stitching!!!
A little picnic? Some alone time to relax, eat some nice treats, and read??
an indoor beach vacation at home during winter
Sounds like a very fabulous and generous giveaway!!
It looks like a get-away at the beach to me!!
A snow day indoors, reading by candlelight, snuggling under a quilt! (With or without kiddos!)
well, knowing that OH is going to get covered with snow and ice, I would say and indoor picnic while the power goes out! Love the beauty of the quilt, basket and the books match perfectly!
a picnic!!
Besides being simply beautiful would be part of your display for an upcoming market or photo shoot?
Anne
A romantic picnic at twilight....
Here in New Bern, NC that would be a great afternoon out and since Nicholas Sparks lives here, you might just see him out too!!! (i have only ever seen his car...his license plate identifys him!)
But i do have to agree with the others that this could be a gorgeous photo shoot also!!!
I would have to agree - a trip away, time to relax, but since you have that sweet little one, I suspect this may be for someone else! No matter what it looks delightful! I love the quilt the most!
Blessings!

I am guessing that you are getting ready for that big ice storm you should be getting tomorrow :D. I hope my sister is getting ready (she lives in Lorain).
Umm, some of your favorite things?
You should add a tissue box to that pile!
Nicholas Sparks books make me all teary eyed!
When I see that I imagine a fantastic day outside away from snow (I live in NH) curling up with a good book and tasty food in the basket.
:) beautiful pattern from what I can see---do we get to see the whole quilt?
A picnic in Central Park.
They are all woven things. That if not together would just be pieces and not a whole. The fabric is woven fibers made into a quilt, the basket is woven pieces of wood, and the books are stores that are woven together without all of them you would just have pieces of the story not all of it.

Hmmm, that looks like a lovely little getaway to me!! Packing some goodies into that basket and heading off for some peace and quiet to read a good book. =)
Or a giveaway. You know, either way. ;-)
Are you going to a quilting retreat?
Maybe some down time for you. I love Nicholas Sparks books.
i'm certain it means the saddest picnic ever.
first you'll lay out the blanket and eat some snacks, maybe have some wine. then, you'll read the notebook. you'll be so disappointed and saddened by the story that you'll use the candle to set the book on fire.
at least, that's what i'd do.
A relaxing getaway to someplace warm. I'd love to see the entire quilt, the teaser is beautiful. :)
A few of my favorite things?? Well, it may not be your right answer but it certainly is mine!
A picnic!... a picnic somewhere where a nor'easter isnt about to blow through... again.
It's almost Spring and you are ready for a picnic with your favorite quilt and a few good books.
What hemisphere are you in? Either a picnic on the beach or a campfire in the snow.
A lovely getaway or a lovely giveaway! Either would be nice. Beautiful quilt and colors.
Some quiet time, cuddled up in the quilt reading while the candle burns nearby and the rest of the books in the basket.
If the longaberger basket is filled with hot cocoa you have the perfect group of things for a winter snow storm- oh the candle too in case my power goes out! I'm in WI and we are supposed to get 20" in the next couple of days! Love the quilt in the background by the way!
A perfect day in Central Park?
Getting ready for a snowstorm where there will be no power! A blanket for warmth, a candle for light, books for entertainment and a basket to carry it all in!
I love storing my quilts with a candle, and then pulling them out of the storage container (i.e. a really nice basket or off of the quilt rack!) having them smell like my favorite candle, and then cuddling up and reading a good book! :)
Looks like a great give away or a great get away. My choice.....LOL:)
I hope it's your own little mini-geataway for a weekend... even if it's to another room in front of the fire place ;)
Loooove all of those books! and if you love Nicholas Sparks, you'll probably will like Richard Paul Evans too!
Enjoy!
hugs, margie
My very first thought was a giveaway. Romance, for sure!
The electricity was off. The quilt was to keep you and the kids warm. The basket was to hold the books. And, the candle was to give light so you could read the books to the kids. TaDa - Mom reading stories is one way to keep the kids entertained when there is no electricity.
Escape plans from Super Bowl Weekend.
I would say a kit for an indoor picnic to escape the SuperBowl. Either that or a kindness kit for a sick friend/relative who loves Nicholas Sparks novels!
You are gearing up to have a super duper awesome SUPER BOWL XLV celebration!!!
A wonderful afternoon/evening. I wish I hada few of thoser right now
things you have put together for a long overdue relaxing bath?
Do tissues come with it? If it's N.Sparks books it must! I would say summer (or at least warmer weather). Outside on the quilt with goodies in the basket and books in hand. Of course I would also add a few books for a little boy I know :-)
Well if you had a FQ stack and some chocolate too I'd say packing for a quilters retreat. I'm hoping maybe a sweet give a way? LOL
They all want to go to the BEACH! How fun!
I found it at the fatquartershop. Congratulations on a new kit there.
Things to do with a park? I saw this new quilt of yours at the fat quarter shop. I'm thinking since its park related because it's made with Central Park fabric.
sounds like a church raffle to me! :)
A lot of weeping and eating it seems... ;)
Time to yourself?? Raffle?? Doesn't mattter --it's just wonderful!
A picnic? A long day lounging in the yard? Beach? Reading in bed but you don't want to get up to get a snack? :)
I would say comfort... a quilt to snuggle under, a longaberger just equals comfort and a sense of home and good sappy reading - that is comfort indeed!
I think it is the wonderful color combination! They all blend together. Thanks for the great guessing game!
A day at the beach.
A valentine day's picnic in front of a fireplace reading a favourite book with your honey.Put a nice bottle of wine and chocolate in basket.
A giveaway? (Oh, I hope so...fingers crossed!)
These things are all laying about (in an aesthetically pleasing manner) in your house!
Those are great books! I love his writings. Love Longeberger basket also, and of course quilts! Who doesn't?
My first thought was a giveaway....hmmm?
Heaven!!!
Are they all part of a giveaway? Or maybe what you're taking to the beach!
My guess is... if I set up a picnic with a beautiful quilt, light a candle and read all of Nicholas Sparks books in one sitting, my long lost true love will find me and we'll live happily ever after..close? :) Is your quilt a featured item on the Longaberger site?
a summer picnic????
a midnight book-reading picnic??
I am probably getting to technical but did you use the book for the color combo and is the quilt a basket pattern of some sort?
I don't have a clue, but I love them all! Beautiful photo! :o)
Blackout survival kit? Quilt to keep you warm, candle to read by but you forgot the chocolate. :-)
It looks like a summer holiday to me! :-)
oh are you going to make someones day and give it all away? If sew pick me!
The colors of the books and the design of the basket inspired that beautiful basket weave quilt!!!
something to do when the lights go out. it is hard to cut fabric by candlelight, better to read. should get a basket ready if the power goes out with this storm.

I hope they're prizes you're giving away for your next drawing. Pick me!

Anything with a Longaberger basket is special. I'm guessing a giveaway or maybe I'm hoping for a giveaway. If not, springtime in the park.
These are a few of your favorite things?
A weekend getaway basket ...maybe a nice secluded cottage. Have fun!!
Ohio?
Looks like relaxation to me!
Relaxing...a quilt to spread out for a picnic or curl up with to read the books while the candle is burning and enjoying a glass of wine or hot cup of tea with the wonderful goodies in the basket.

Prelude to a romantic Valentines picnic dinner on the livingroom floor by candlelight?????
Love that quilt, absolutely love reading Nicholas Sparks (have every one of his books) so I would guess a relaxing evening of reading, scented candle and some goodies in that basket just for you!
OMG Rachel. I just love your posts! I would have to guess an absolutley wonderfully relaxing romantic get away!
I am guessing getting ready for the massive snow storm! A Central Park quilt for warmth, the candle to read your books by when the power goes out and the longaberger basket to keep all the little items you need so you don't have to get up to get them!!
A trip to Central Park?
A nice, relaxing vacation!
I'm guessing they are all a few of your favorite things. I know they are a few of mine! I LOVE that Longaberger basket. Mine sits next to my machine holding a couple of my kits that are "on my list" to try and tackle this year.
Getting ready for the blizzard, of course!!!! (smart girl, you are!)
Diana in illinois (also getting ready)
Ms. Peacock in the library with a candlestick.
Ms Peacock (beautiful colors of the Central Park line)
In the Library (books)
With a candlestick (candle)
The Basket...her alibi. She was off at the market.
Do i hear a FABULOUS giveaway? LOL
All I know is that I want to come with you if it means a weekend away from kid responsibilities!
Please tell me it has something to do with a giveaway?!=) Beautiful quilt!!
All things that you would use in Central Park.
Sounds like a wonderful giveaway to me!!
Looks like a gift for someone special!
