I love that tulip!! Did you use a template or just cut out the same shape a few times randomly from your scraps?
I have an old quilt from my grandmother and she has this same shape in each block. I called it the "eye" but now I'm wondering if there's an actual name for it :D

I really like that look...it would make a great purse or tote. You could even go for a shabby chic look with that techniques and some decorator or silky fabrics...I will have to add that to my "to do list"!
