I would go with black or white. If blck than thinner sashing and if white then wider sashing.
Here are my 2 cent. :)
Love it! Thanks for playing. I'm not going to weigh in on the sashing, since I have my own set to build also- but I can't wait to see yours. ~jen~
Love your blocks, they are awesome! i would go with a darker blue sashing and not real wide. I think the dark would make the blocks really pop out ... but that's just my opinion. Have a great day!
I don't know which block you did. I'd go with sashing...not too wide and a dark color that is NOT in any of the blocks (so black would be good) and also a bit of that for a border. I think it will set the blocks off and have them sort of "float". If you notice in your photo where the smallest sliver of deck is showing between the blocks, the darkness of that seems to set them off nicely. This will be a fun quilt when it's done!
oh rachel these are darling. I cant wait now to get mine. I will be watching what you do with them - so I can have some ideas.
I think they would look terrific with sashing and I vote for some fun black sashing with colorful dots. Possibly even setting the blocks on point! They will look so cool!
I vote for wide white sashing. The blocks would then "float" on the background.
I participated in this as well but I have to be patient and wait. Mine just got mailed out today. Yours look so fun!I think a wide white sashing would look good with some fun mini squares at the joints- possibly mini pinwheels which I know you love :)
omg, your rhyming game is hilarious! lol...wow, the blocks look really great together...i'm in jane's rainbow swap...what fun! ☺ i think i would use a bright color, too, but not one that is any of the blocks...(like pat said...i agree with pat!)
The blocks are lovely......I would use Kona black for sashing that is 1 1/2".
I would not want to sash it since the blocks stand so great on there own, but if you feel the need to sash I would do it in white. I can't wait to see them all as a quilt.
Thanks!
love the blocks...and especially the irish pinwheel!
Definitely sashing! How 'bout white? I love all the "white" quilts I see all over blogland.
this is gonna be a fun colorful quilt! how about some sort of black and white combo?
and let me guess.. .you made the shoofly? j/k
lovely blocks.
Very pretty.
I love all the blocks. You know I would be partial to the Irish pinwheel.
Micki
I would either go with white or black. But probably white.
My grandma told me the rule for sashing was to take your smallest square and use that.
But you have some pretty small squares so Idk!!
I'm no help!
