i'm excited to share a new book with y'all.
my friend angela is the mastermind behind a book titled stop. go. quilt. sew!
it's a cute book that features 12 fun projects for little boys.
we all love little boy projects, right?!?!

we have two girls and two boys in the griffith household.
girlie projects seem to be second nature to me, but boy projects ... not so much.
insert angela and her book.

take this quilt for instance, it just screams boy.
and it makes me wish i would've thought of it first.
so darn cute, right?!?!

you can't have a blog tour without something fun:

well, i think my sign speaks for itself ... ;P

one last hurrah.

yayyy to summer being almost over.
the kids go back to school soon, football season is in full effect and i'm all too ready for fall.

i do think that mother nature is trying to play a sick joke on me though.
it's been raining for a few days and it's only 61' out today.
too bad it's only august.

fall is definitely in the air.
and i'm SO ready to bring out the fall decor.
but i think i'll have one last hurrah with some summery fabric.
you know, to ensure that i don't start placing pumpkins throughout our home.

i have chosen this lovely bundle to play with today.
the orange and yellows just make my heart sing.
*sigh*

oh baby, baby.

so remember how i said it was the year of the babies?!?!
well i've been making baby quilts left & right it seems.
and since that post ... my baby sister announced she's preggers and is expecting at christmas!!!

here is baby quilt #2 out of the 4 i need to make.
{where's a pic of baby quilt #1?!?! i forgot to take a pic. lame, i know.}

BUT this quilt is SUPER special.
not because i made it. or because of the fabrics. or because of the pattern.
it's because the baby it's for has already taken up a huge place in my heart.

the lovely lady holding the quilt is my niece, ashleigh.
behind that quilt in that lovely lady's belly, is my great niece, natalie rae.
{and the fella in background is nate, ash's manly man and miss nattie's daddy.}

i am SO excited to be a great aunt!!!
and for miss lindsey to have a bff for life!!!
win/win.

miss natalie is expected to be here next month. {around my 30th birthday.}
and don't worry, i'll post pics of her all wrapped up in her quilt.
i'm sure it'll make everyone's wombs quiver.
