it's the perfect book for peeps that love color.
the quilts in the book are scraptastic, but emily is SO cool that she gives yardage requirements in case you wanna aim for a more controlled quilt.
hands down this is a book that i would recommed to all my peeps.

and i'll argue with anyone that says white isn't a color - cause it SO is.

and white doesn't have to be white persay.
it can be cream, ecru, ivory, snow, buttercream, feather, bone, meringue, eggshell, natural or porcelain.

food is just WAY more appealing when it's served on white.
idk why, it just is.
in conclusion: white is SUPER refreshing, speaks volumes given the proper accents AND is the color that binds all other colors together.

Teeth! A great big smile! A smile is all to inviting and in my book contagious. It can pick up someones day when they are feeling down, and make it just that much brighter even if they aren't. I love to smile all the time.. perhaps someone is wondering what I am up to.. all the better :) Get their mind working LOL.

Lately for me it is white quilting fabric. I use to never use white, but now I use it in sashing and for my background color. I love it!
My favorite white thing is my Queen Anne white chair that fits me perfect. It sits in my living room each day waiting for me to take a moment and be calm. I will read a few pages, look at the mountains, or just close my eyes for a minute. It is pure tranquility!!

My fav white is the white Matelasee I have on all four beds in our home. Because white goes so well with any quilt I place at the foot of the bed. I love the color white!

Probably snow. Not the most original thing in the world, but I love it when it is still snowing outside, especially in the evening, and you go outside. Everything is blanketed in soft fluffy sparkling whiteness, and the world is just wonderfully quiet, like it's holding its breath. The most glorious time to go for a walk!

My favourite white? Easy. high thread count white Egyptian cotton sheets on a comfortable bed. The feel of that cotton on my skin is bliss.
My favorite white thing has to be snow, but only from a distance. LOL! Hate driving in snow or the heating bill during snow or the ice that develops from the snow. But the beauty of fresh fallen snow on trees, the ground and just everything is perfectly beautiful!

My favorite white thing are billowy white puffy clouds. I get to see them and the sunrise just about every morning on my drive to work when the air over Lake Michigan is cooler than the water. GORGEOUS!

My favorite white thing is our 4 year old boxer, Lulu. I have to say I am not a dog person, but she has converted me. She knows my moods and is right there with her big brown eyes and wet nose when I need her most. Plus, she's my quilting companion as I sew late into the night.
I also like snow as a white thing, but if you're wanting something different than what you've listed, I'm pretty infatuated with pure white kitties with pink noses :) What a cute way to snuggle up!
White is awesome!! I use a lot of white when I am quilting. It helps to make the perfect backdrop to other colors. My favorite while thing is a vanilla ice cream cone. Love vanilla.

My favorite white is probably snow at Christmastime. Living in FL, but spending Christmas with my grandparents in IL..it's either snow at Christmas or no snow at all. So it's a double win--the sentimentality of snow on Christmas and the fun of playing in it with my husband, kids and family!!

I too LOVE, LOVE, LOVE white fabric. Any incarnation of white is fine with me! I try to put a little white in all of my quilts, even if it is just the label. However, my favorite "white" things are white flowers, especially white tulips!!!

All my wedding pictures were taken in black and white. Some of them hang in my sister in law's house and she routinely discusses all the characters in the photos with her curious son. When we go through the standard color quiz everyone does with toddlers, ("What's this color?")my nephew sees anything that is white and he replies, "This is white and its Meena's favorite." I assume he has determined that I like white because in the only pictures he has of me I am in a big white dress and no one else is!! The whole thing has made me realize, "Yeah, white is a color and I DO like it a lot!!"

Gosh, I hate to saw snow because I like to be different. LOL! But, the first snow of the season out here on the ranch is magical. We live in NM and desert snow is truly a gift. Love the way it sprinkles across the backsides of the horses. Looks like powdered sugar.

One of my favorite white memories is touring during Christmas time while the snow is falling. Or when the snow has fallen, blanketing the bushes that are covered with lights underneath it all. I love how it all glows and brightens everything.
My two favorite uses for white are as wall paint and fabric. I like all of the incarnations of white from pure stark paper white to creamy Swiss coffee white on my walls. I love the way white walls allow me to change the look of a room by varying the colors of the curtains or slipcovers on the furniture I love white fabric in all of its incarnations from WOW, COW, WOC and all of the solid tones of white in between. It makes all of the other colors in a quilt pop and always looks so fresh and crisp.

Snow! I'm from Colorado but live in Seattle now. I sure miss those snow days. There's nothing better than waking up in a warm cozy house and seeing snow on the trees outside.

My absolute favorite ever white thing is SNOW! It's so pretty and fluffy and I just love it :) Most of my family hates snow (because they hate shoveling and driving in it.) But even those activities aren't so bad since snow is so awesome :) I like when it snows enough that most people won't go out on the roads and that's when I head out for a fun drive to look at how pretty everything turns in the snow :)

My friends and family tease me that white is my favorite color - but honestly, it IS! I love white - sheets, dishes, towels - everything. If I had to choose a favorite white - it has to be the walls of my home. Not boring, but a blank canvas for hanging quilts and other pieces of art. White goes with everything!!!

I am totally into white fabric too. My mom always says I shouldn't put white in baby quilts because they will get dirty - but they're washable so I do it anyways :)

A white wedding dress. It just makes a girl look beautiful and elegant.
Lorenzo & Ama are my favorite whites. Lorenzo is 7 pounds of noisy chug and Ama is 70 pounds of playful husky. The two keep me entertained even at my lowest moments.

Sugar - my favorite white thing! The best recipe/cookies to gift to others is the sugar cookie recipe from book: The Pastry Queen: Royally Good Recipes from the Texas Hill Country's Rather Sweet Bakery & Cafe. Also, I love sugar-coated Christmas villages and gumdrops. Unfortunately, we are trying to give it up as a family - oh the torture - the worst part is I keep sneaking it in. It's an addiction. Maybe if I just sew/quilt with sugar colored fabric I can break my addiction. Huh...
