Well I prefer to make larger quilts that can be used as queen covers so I'd go for the yard. Then there may be enough fabric left to make coordinating shams/pillows. ktsquiltdreams (at)gmail (dot)com
My favourite precut or rather "cut" is the half yard bundle. If I have a half yard I know I won't run out of fabric, and there are plenty of patterns that I can make. And I get scraps... Love that!
