Oh my. if I were to think about taking pics of my trimmings, not sure I would get anything else done. They go in a bag until it is time to play with them later.

it all depends on on the size of the trimmings -- sometimes they make it into the string quilt drawers but if they are to small they get tossed. I have a plan to make trimmings ornaments from different projects next year once I can stock up on clear balls after the holidays.
I hardly toss any scraps. I have a container for selvedges and a bucket designated for different size scraps. Last year I filled clear plastic Christmas balls with tiny scraps of fabric and gave them as gifts and they were well loved!
If they are not big enough for me to stick in my scrap drawers I throw them in a basket. When the basket gets full, I start filling up a "pillowcase" made from some oldie but goodie fabric. when the pillowcase (usually 18 x 18 ) gets full, I sew the end shut. About once a year I take those pillows stuffed with my scraps to the local Animal Rescue League so the puppies and kitties can have a soft spot to sleep on. I started doing that because I have such a hard time putting fabric in a trash can!!!

I don't have time to take pictures of my trimmings. I put them away for crumb blocks.
Keep all except the really narrow.
Sometimes I put the tiny trimmings out for the birds to use for their nest.
I take pictures of trimmings all the time. Even teeny tiny pieces. I've even glued them into a heart shape on paper to give my fabric lovin' mama a sweet note.
Throw them out. Life it short use real fabric. LOL
Dreams of using them! They go into categories. Crumbs, strings, of course the coveted (oh lord I cant think of the right word LOL) outer edges of the material. And the last is my unusable clippings that I stuff with!! Oh its all good for something!!! ;0)
I am almost embarrassed to say I throw most of my scraps away. If I have a full WOF strip at least 1.5'', then I save them. Otherwise, out they go. I just don't have the room to keep tons of scraps - if I had a separate sewing room, I would probably save everthing! I have to share my bedroom space as my sewing room too, so space is limited! Unless I could get rid of hubby's dresser.... LOL
I don't have a lot of scraps these days, because I don't do a lot of sewing now, but do keep all the scraps, you never know when you will need them to make a nice square, my favourite sewing is making bags!
I save my trimmings for a friend who actually makes lovely blocks out of them. I feel good knowing they are being used!

If they are strings, they get tied together into a big ball of fabric yarn which I hope to make a rug out of one day... If they are anything else, they get put into a bag to make hexies :)
I'm so nuts about saving all my trimmings that I have them organized - selvedges in one and non-selvedge ones in another container. Seems the bins are chock full - time to make some scrappy notecards from them. Gah! Crazy, right? ;o)
I keep some of them in a glass jar, some get knotted together for gift wrapping ribbon, and some are put in a baggie for card making! Never any waste.
