Oh, lovely. And the fabric I am trying to find online for a semi-reasonable price. Now that I see your quilt, I am more determined than ever to buy some of it. :) FYI, I made your pinwheel sampler while I was off on disability this summer (or at least all the blocks are done). I need to take pictures and add to your group of them.

I really do love the classic quilts. Much more defined and organized for my little head. Your quilt is gorgeous. I've been saving scraps "for-eva" and this would be such an amazing way to use them up :-)

Thank god for your quilter else we will not see the quilt. Its beautiful and you are right. Traditional quilting blocks will never go out in style - am planning to quilt a double quartet quilt later this week.

Sooo beautiful! This quilt has been on my list after seeing your tutorial. My mom is a Post Master and I think this would make such a wonderful gift for her. :)

It's beautiful indeed! I love classic designs, much more than modern ones. The fabric selection is Perfect too!

I like the modern look and feel to quilts lately, but I will always love the classics!

Why hello! Remember me?? I love this quilt. I love the simplicity of the design and I love the colors. I think my favorite quilts are modern fabrics in classic designs. I have a couple more modern quilts, but the simple designs still make me the happiest.

Yes I still love these types of quilts, especially after they've been washed a couple of times. But I hate cutting and sewing those tiny squares.

I love the quilting on it! And yep, that binding is perfect. I'm just now sewing my strips together into blocks. So I'm behind but still working on it! :)

It's beautiful Rachael! I love those fabrics -- I'll bet I have enough left over from my laundry basket to make that quilt {swoon}! I'll always be a classic quilt girl -- I'm only a modern fan if it's a classic pattern that's been modernized!

I love this quilt...the colors are beautiful..I am going to have to do this after my DWR quilt that I am working on..

It is a super sweet quilt and the fabrics make it. Traditional is always good. Modern allows more freedom to throw something together. Truthfully I like mixing them together. Plus throwing in some appilque is even a bonus for me.

I just love this quilt... I think some of the old classics are the new modern.

I love this quilt Rachel. I have all the strips sets sewn for mine using white and Central park, I need to get it done, I imagine it will looks as classic as this one! And I think modern and classic play very well together...sometimes the labels get in the way.

There's room for both, but I tend to lean more classic, I think. Especially for patterns/designs. Modern fabric in the right place can be awesome, though.

Still haven't finished my postage stamp quilt, either...

Amazing quilt and beautifully quilted! I like both modern and traditional but I think I lean towards the classic :)

I guess I am more on the traditional side although I do love some of the modern fabrics. I am not always sure what I want to do with some of them though.

The quilt is gorgeous. My favorite part is the quilting. As someone who has so far been too chicken to try free motion, I am amazed by anyone who can do it so beautifully!

jeifner said...

It's very pretty. The random bits of color combined with the precision of the piecing is quite a treat for the eye.
