seriously I can't believe you just made that - I've been sketching out something so similar to use with some blue and green kona solids. Awesome, I love it!
love it!!
want it... can you please please send it to me?
it really wants to live here.
That is beautiful! The design is just perfect for those colors.
I just received the fat quarter bundle of those solids last week in the mail, now I know what I can do with them...thanks for being soooo creative.
I just saw your comment over at Jaybird Quilts, but no mention here about the mass email sent out with your Kona Castle Quilt being Friday's Feature at the Fat Quarter Shop.
Yeah you!! It's gorgeous!
I love this! what a fun way to display those solids, such a gorgeous quilt!

she's a beauty. Love how the colours play together in this quilt.
It looks great!
Beautiful quilt, love those shades. I have a book that shows me how to cut my fabrics like that, so need to try one.

Rachel, this is fabulous! Everything about it. YAY for you!!!
She is a beauty!! Are you sure you don't want to send her back to me? ;)
These colours are so beautiful... I made the mistake of clicking the link to the Kaufmann homepage and now this bundle and the bounty of basics set of 100 are coming to my apartment. Where will I find the room! I am really excited to see them in person... big plans in store for them this summer!
Perfect colors...reminds me of the beach!
It is a really pretty quilt. I am curious as to how this works: you design it, someone makes it and someone quilts it and the designer gets to keep. I think if I made it, I would want to keep it.
wow this is lovely
Very Pretty and very very calming...makes me want to go to the beach.
oooh this is beautiful!!! thanks for sharing! and how exciting that this will be hanging at the Quilt Market! awesome! :)
Gorgeous shades of colour!
Absolutely fabulous. Wish I was able to go to the Market to see it in person. I will tell my aunt Joan who is going :D
It's beautiful!
I have a question....this pictures of this quilt...has it been washed? Sometimes I see pictures of quilts on peoples blogs and they are super crinkly and sometimes they aren't. This one doesn't look as crinkly as my quilts turn out. This is very pretty though. So what's the etiquette? If I make a quilt for someone, should I wash it first or not? If this one isn't washed, is it because it's going to market?
Love Escapade in solids! So pretty! <3
Yummy, calming colors. Kona Cotton really are fabulous, aren't they? I want to hug this pretty little quilt and whisper sweet nothings to it, too. Even more, lie out in yard (in the shade for me) and take a little snooze in the breeze.
My favorite colors and an awesome design!! Wish I were coming to market.
Gorgeous! Colors, design, execution - all of it. Well done. Major awesomesauce.
This is so pretty!
I can't tell for sure - was this machine or hand-quilted?
I too am curious about the washing? Maybe this wasn't washed since it's going to Market?
I've been drooling over this since it popped up on Fat Quarter Shop! I can't wait to get my hands on this kit. I LOVE this quilt!
I've been drooling over this quilt since it first popped up on Fat Quarter Shop! I LOVE this quilt!
Who wouldn't want to go to Quilt Market!? Color, fabric, fun, ideas, and so much more. One day maybe.............
? I was so sad that the kit has already sold out! I was trying to figure out what to purchase and am a little confused. For the bed size - it says 25 Fat Quarters and on the Robert Kaufman fabric shop page the Poseidon colorstory only has 21 pieces in it? Do I just buy 4 separate pieces in the colors that I like? I'm not a very experienced quilter but this is just so beautiful, I really want to make it!
What color did you use for the sashing between the columns?
