because of that, i have to come up with new, different & exciting ways to display them.
{i'm weird like that.}
{i'm weird like that.}
so without further ado...i give yall a new tutorial.
yayyy!!!
2 wrought iron plate holders {yes, yall read that right.}
drywall screws
a stack of quilts you wanna display
a stack of quilts you wanna display
i chose to utilize mine for this project. lol.
{your handy dandy manly man will know where to put your drywall screws.}
place your plate holder on the wall, turned the wrong way.
this is the magic of me displaying my quilts.
isn't it gorgeous???
me loves it.
{by overlapping the plate holders, you create that pretty little scroll in the middle.}
are yall excited yet???
i should confess that i have twig & berry garlands all over my house too.
i think i'm addicted. lol.
i think i'm addicted. lol.
now add your very own fabric wreath.
{sameless plug. haha.}
then add your stack of quilts to the hooks!!!
now stand back and admire your quilty goodness!!!
{it's okay to oooh & aaah for a few minutes!!!}
and as always...
toot your own horn!!!
if you make this, add the pic to my p.s. i quilt: sew & tell flickr group.

I love this idea . . .! I like how the quilt hang in a casual way . . . still elegant - (simply because it's their nature!) - & they look like they ready & waiting for a good snuggle.
xo, Bren

P.S. I'm getting ready to make a Scruffily quilt out of Simple Abundance. So excited!
Don't we just love our handy men? Turned out wonderful!!
love it! i can't do berry/twig sprays, one of our cats eats the berries. yes, he knows they are fake; he's just stupid lol

Great idea, I think I'd add some small knobs, so the prongs don't poke holes in the quilts.
jan...
that's a good point.
luckily the plate holders i bought have a little rounded finish to the prongs so that i don't have to worry about holes.
thanks.
do you ever stop your crazy creativity? i think not! this is a great idea. and hmm...something looks a little familiar in your pics. what oh what could it be..?

Great idea and your quilts looks great hanging there and so does your new wreath.
What a great idea. I kinda feel like I'm "wasting" my plate holder potential by putting boring old PLATES in it. Love the quilts.

Love that idea!
Oh that is fantastic! I will *try* that, but I'm pretty sure that son will have them pulled down and ALL on his lap in moments. That looks so pretty!
Thanks Rachel for this super cute idea. Your display looks awesome. I have lots of twigs/berry swags around my house too. :) Looks like while I'm out getting a couple of 12" wire wreaths this week-end I need to get a couple of wrought iron plate holders. Have a great day!
I love that! So cool. I have a traditional stand, and my quilts are folded over the bars, and my daughter and the dayhome child I provide care for like to grab it and bang it against the wall. I just may be buying myself some plate holders in the near future! Where did you find those ones?
Go Girl!!!! I love it...totally awesome! Yes, I love the berry garlands too and have them in my home also! You are very talented Rachel! Jo xox

Rachel, although I don't have much wall space in my home I adapted your idea for one quilt using and antique coat and hat hook. Thanks for the inspiration! You can check it out over at my blog if you'd like!
