They're BEAUTIFUL! I love old houses. Mine is 100 years old this year (but nowhere near as fancy as those!)
Gorgeous homes! When we cruised through Key West, we did a walking tour of many homes. So rich with history :) Love it!

Very grand and ubiquitously Southern.
These are beautiful...don't you wish that contractors built that way today;)

They are absolutely wonderful! Some of my favorites are Victorian. I just love the wraparound porches and turrets. Someday, I would just love to live in one for at least a day.
Yeah, just think of the workmanship it took to build these homes and the people who have refurbished them today! The pics are just wonderful and reminds me of visiting Georgia and the lovely charm of the state.
I love Charleston...but where's the pic of Rainbow Row?

Wow, these homes really are stunning! They look like castles. So beautiful with the tall palm trees guarding them too. Thanks for sharing.

a trip to Charleston should be on everyone's list. I love the old homes and how they have been preserved.
My greatgrandmother was born in Augusta, Georgia and then lived on a plantation outside Atlanta. After the Civil War she moved to Vermont and my grandmother was born. Grandmother was always a southern belle. I visited Charleston and fell in love with the homes there. This must have been a great vacation. Did you get to stay in one of the homes?
My Mother & I took a trip from VA to southern tip of SC visiting antibellum homes & plantations. What a trip this was ... awesome stately architecture & gorgeous surrounding towns & grounds. TTFN ~Marydon
Our home in Pawleys island modeled after Charleston Row houses..and it's yellow....so i know what you mean..I love them too..
Hey, I know those houses!!!!!! I lived in Columbia, SC for three years and made it to Charleston as often as I could!
We just moved from Charleston this month. I loved going downtown and seeing all the houses and visiting the market. Did your kids get to play in the fountains at the waterfront park? It really is a beautiful city!
Same here. I love houses like these. They just remind me of an old belle sitting very stately. I don't know why!
My daughter has lived in Charleston for the past five years, so we go there two or three times a year - so fun to visit! Did you get to People Places & Quilts? Great (and only) Charleston quilt shop!
