are you kidding?! That is the cutest little scrappy quilt. What fabric is on the back?

My all time favorite movie is from the new Narnia film series. They were my favorite books as a child and I loved the Prince Caspian book so seeing it on the big screen is something I can't wait to share with my son (after I've gotten to read them to him!)

Lucy : They’re so still
Trumpkin: The trees? What did you expect?
Lucy: They used to dance.

Also, Once is another favorite..."oh broken hearted hoover-fixer sucker guy..."

I have tons of favorite movies - ONE of my favorite quotes comes from Grease. The ditzy cheerleader is meeting Sandy and says the cheesiest phrase of all time: "We'll be life-long friends!" Every single time I find myself having a cheesy moment, I say loudly, "We'll be life-long friends!" It helps me salvage a little dignity by at least acknowledging my corndogness.

I just watched The Sound of Music, I love the part when she just arrives at the Col. house and is praying for each of the kids at the end of the day. She can't remember all 7 of their names, so she says "God bless what's his name!" for one of the children. I keep saying that line ~~ for some reason it's funny to me. Probably because I came from a family of 6 and invariably got called by my sisters name.

Jenn said...

Ooooh! SO darling! For what it's worth, my all time fave movie is Legends of the Fall, too. The only time I've sobbed that hard in a movie (when Brad cries by his brother's stone). *sigh*

Favorite quote from a movie, huh? I'm not so great remembering word for word--I love it mostly when my son quotes his favorite lines back to me. For example after we watched Game Plan he'd hold his tongue and say "Cinnamon? But I'm awergic to cinnamon!"

Lee D said...

What an adorable little quilt! That would be sweet to win. I love lots of movies, but a couple that make me laught out loud (which is hard) is "Happy Gilmour" and "4 Weddings and a Funeral" I am not good at remembering lines, just like the fact they make me laugh!!

Hey Rachel...ohhhhhh, yummy!!! Don't put me in the giveaway...I just wanted to share my all-time fave movie quote:

"You can’t handle the truth"...the most famous and oft-quoted line from "A Few Good Men". Clearly, Jack Nicholson, as Colonel Jessup, did not think everyone could. Handle the truth. At least on the subject at hand. But, he spoke it, anyway.

My favorite movie is Le fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain.

My favorite quote from the movie translates into this: "Nino is late. Amelie can only see two explanations. 1 - he didn't get the photo. 2 - before he could assemble it, a gang of bank robbers took him hostage. The cops gave chase. They got away... but he caused a crash. When he came to, he'd lost his memory. An ex-con picked him up, mistook him for a fugitive, and shipped him to Istanbul. There he met some Afghan raiders who too him to steal some Russian warheads. But their truck hit a mine in Tajikistan. He survived, took to the hills, and became a Mujaheddin. Amelie refuses to get upset for a guy who'll eat borscht all his life in a hat like a tea cozy."

My favorite movie of all time is The Abyss, and I love it when Ed Harris says "you ok? everybody ok?" I remember thinking the first time I watched it that he was such a sweet guy, as he was always in charge and taking care of everyone else in the rig. Sadly, the Twilight movie just wasn't the same as the book, so the movie isn't my favorite of all time, even though the book is! Thanks for the giveaway, it's a cute quilt and my son loves blankies :)

Enjoy your blog!

Dirty Dancing is my all time favorite movie ... "Nobody puts Baby in the corner." Several others mentioned that quote, so how about "Me? I'm scared of everything. I'm scared of what I saw, I'm scared of what I did, of who I am, and most of all I'm scared of walking out of this room and never feeling in my whole life the way I feel when I'm with you." Patrick Swayze just melts me in that movie! And Rachel, your little quilt is gorgeous ... of course!
