that's one monster of a list huh???
but i can do it...right???

i plan to keep yall updated.
i'm thinking about making something for my taskbar to track it all easily.
we'll see what i can come up with.

so what does this have to do with yall???
well does the word giveaway make yall excited???
it does???

here's the deal.
leave me a comment...telling me one of YOUR quilting resolutions.
i'll draw a winner using the old 'name in a hat' method.
on the 15th.

now what am i giving away???
designed by our very own happy zombie.

Rachel I believe in you. You can do it! My quilting resolution is to complete at least two of the many unfinished quilt projects "hanging out" in the sewing room, ha. I also hope to spend at least 30 minutes a day doing some form of creative outlet. That could be quilting, stitchery, knitting or applique. Happy New Year to you and yours!

That is a great list and I think with your energy, you'll do it!

I have a few resolutions.

1. Quilt from the stash. Less buying = more quilting. Really, all I need to buy for a very long time is batting and maybe some kona cottons to do sashing and/or backing.

2. Practice & more practice mitred corners and machine stippling.

3. Do a hand-quilted project. Just to see and feel the difference.

4. Donate some quilts to school fundraisers.

That's it! Thanks for your giveaway! Come back to my blog...I miss your enthusiastic comments.

Oh fun! As a young girl I quilted a lot with my grandma. She'd mail me fabric squares and I'd sew them together and mail them back - we'd do this until we had our quilt top made. it was really a lot of fun. Now that I'm grown with 2 kids, I'd love to get back into quilting!! So that's my goal for this year!!! Wish me luck! :)

My 2009 quilting resolution is to actually make a quilt. Last year I planned a doll quilt for my niece, but never actually did it. I've never quilted before, so I think if I start small it will be less frustrating and more apt to be finished.

Goodness, girl!! That is some list! I have quite a list too, but the main objective this year is to finish hand quilting my queen size quilt for my bed.

Rue said...

So many unfinished projects! I have so many tops that need quilting! I want to quilt all my stuff. My own bed quilt has been done for 4 years buts never quilted. I only send ones off to be done that I will be giving away. I don't know how many projects are in different stages so I have resolved that I must do those and only do small projects in between the old ones. I need to practice self discipline and that goes for buying fabric just because I like it or it is on sale too. I think this challenge will be fun as there arent lots of rules and restrictions. Getting started tonight!

I do not quilt, but I plan this year to do my darndest to learn. I do lots of embroidery and would like to incorporate them both together. I am getting all of the tools together that I will need and plan to start as soon as my craft room is cleaned up.

This is the second time that I've visited your blog this afternoon - the first was to discover and join the Calendar quilt challenge. You are a very bad influence, I think! ;-)

My resolution is kinda fuzzy at the edges - but I think it's to make more scrap quilts this year. I've realized that even if I don't open my fabric closet, I have enough bits and pieces laying around my sewing room to make multiple quilts!
